About

Coridon is a privately held company headquartered in Brisbane Australia. The company was founded in 2000 for the purpose of developing DNA therapies for the prevention and treatment of viral infections such as Herpesvirus and Hepatitis C and therapeutic vaccines for the treatment of cancer.

Our mission is to develop new DNA immunotherapies that achieve effective immune responses. These effective immune responses will prevent and treat viral infections and kill tumour cells in patients with cancer. We also plan to develop therapies that limit immune responses that cause disease.

Our proprietary technologies are:
Coricode© - constructing of novel synthetic polynucleotides encoding a polypeptide of interest, and optimization of expression of the polynuceotide, or alternatively, the therapeutic outcome in a treated patient and
Corimmune© - simultaneous optimization of the humoral and the cell mediated immune responses produced by a polynucleotide vaccine

Using our technology we have:
created a family of novel constructs to to determine the optimal choice of codons to maximize the desired function of a polynucleotide therapy
discovered CHO Coricode for improved recombinant protein production in CHO cells
developed an animal model and assay systems to determine the optimal choice of codons to maximize immune responses
